Welcoming you to Birchwood House – family owned quality care for the elderly

Our Birchwood House team at our Open Day

Whether you were looking for respite or permanent residential care Birchwood House warmly invited you to our Spring Open Day held on Saturday 7th May from 12 – 4 pm. All key members of staff were available to meet you as well as give a tour of our beautiful residential home on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells.

Personalised care

Birchwood has been offering high-quality care for over 30 years.  We do everything we can to give our residents a personalised approach. We put loving care at the heart of everything we do. Find out about our Birchwood Promise at the Open Day which acts as a constant reminder of what caring at Birchwood means.

Fulfilling lives

Our dedicated, qualified staff support residents, enabling them to live as fulfilling lives as possible, by providing a safe environment and activities to engage and stimulate them. We are proud to run spectacular themed events from a harvest hoedown to a winter wonderland to music for health and gentle chair exercises.

A beautifully restored manor house with unrivalled views

Birchwood House is a former manor house set within nine acres of beautiful grounds. It has a stunning original conservatory bringing the outside in, and boasts some of the best views in the area.   Our residents love to spend time amongst the natural world we have the privilege of sharing our home with. People tell us Birchwood feels like home the minute they step through the front door, from the newly refurbished communal and individual rooms, to wholesome home-cooked food and friendly staff.

An opportunity to meet the Birchwood team

All key members of staff were available on the Open Day to ask questions and get to know the team. And if you’ve considered a career in the care industry then this was an ideal opportunity to see first-hand what it is like and find out everything you wanted to know.

Sample our tasty afternoon tea

Tea, coffee, and refreshments were provided as well as fabulous cakes baked by our very own chef Elia.  Afternoon tea always proves to be popular with residents and family alike.  Sample menus were be available.

Experience Birchwood

Ahead of the day, Niral Patel, Chief Executive of Birchwood House added: “I am delighted to host our first Open Day of the year and open up our house and gardens to the community. We have been asked a lot about letting people experience Birchwood House for themselves, so this now feels the right time, but of course, ensuring that safety remains the number one priority.”
